Ein schöner Tag

Zumindest, was das Wetter angeht. Man soll den Tag ja nicht vor dem Abend loben (ihn aber auch nicht vor dem Abend verfluchen!), aber es sieht nicht danach aus, als würde uns heute noch Regen ins Haus stehen. So langsam reicht das auch mal wieder... so ein wenig goldener Oktober mit Sonnenschein täte uns doch allen mal wieder gut.

Dieses Foto habe ich heute Morgen aufgenommen, als ich das Haus verlassen habe. Ganz spontan und eigentlich nur, weil mir die deutliche Mondsichel am Morgenhimmel so gefiel. Zugegebenermaßen erscheint diese auf dem Smartphone Foto nur wie ein winziger unförmiger Punkt. Deshalb habt Ihr jetzt nur mein Wort, dass es in echt an diesem wunderschönen, klaren Morgen schön aussah.

Wie schade, wenn man an solchen Tagen die Zeit im Büro vergeudet. Ja, VERGEUDET!

A Lovely Day

At least when we're talking about the weather. In Germany we have that saying which goes (very literally translated:) Don't praise the day before evening. (which of course counts the other way around, too: don't curse the day before evening). I think that in English that saying would be: don't count the chickens before they hatch. Is that correct, dear English speaking readers? Anyway: What I mean is: while I say the day is lovely, it's not evening yet. But I don't think there will be rain upon us anymore today. Which is nice. We had a lot of it in the past days. Guess it's about time for a bit of Golden October and some sun again.

I took that photo this morning when I left the house to go to work. Spontaneously. Because I loved the moon at the clear morning sky. Now I have to admit that on a smartphone picture it doesn't even look half as good as in the flesh. You have to take my word for it... it looked very nice and nothing like that shapeless white dot.

Anyway. What a shame when we have to waste days like these in the office. Yes, WASTE!

Habt Ihr schon mal selbst drauf geachtet? Ihr seht sie bestimmt auch, wenn Ihr achtsam seid. Denn das ist genau das, was man braucht: Achtsamkeit. Es funktioniert natürlich auch mit anderen Dingen als Herzen. Hintergrund ist einfach, aufmerksamer die Welt zu betrachten und die schönen Dinge zu sehen, die sich überall um uns herum befinden, wenn wir nur genau hinschauen.

It's all about being aware, looking at details and the beauty we can find in our world everyday around us, if we only pay attention.
